Steelers linebacker Devin Bush takes a major shot at Tim Tebow because he ‘got a job’ before Colin Kaepernick

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush fired off a trio of tweets on Tuesday morning criticizing the Jacksonville Jaguars’ decision to sign Tim Tebow.

He criticized the fact that Tebow is back in the league while Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned.

Tebow’s reported signing with the Jaguars came on Monday, a move that reunites him with his former head coach at the University of Florida, Urban Meyer.

Bush’s biting comments are due in part to the fact that despite the 33-year-old Tebow’s past failures in the NFL, he’s being given another chance. In this instance, Tebow is moving from his traditional quarterback slot to try out for the Jaguars at tight end.

Kaepernick, who is also 33, last played in the NFL in 2016 and had been a lightning rod for controversy prior to being released by the San Francisco 49ers the following year.

That controversy largely revolved around Kaepenick’s actions during the playing of the national anthem and his criticisms about police brutality.

In contrast to Tebow’s inability to achieve consistent success in the NFL, Kaepernick led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2013, where they fell to the Baltimore Ravens.

However, after two consecutive seasons of throwing for over 3,000 yards, Kapernick’s struggles and his controversies sent his career into decline.
