Many had been clamoring for the NFL to change its overtime rules since the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in last season’s playoffs. The Chiefs beat the Bills in overtime after Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce.
Buffalo never got the chance to get the ball in overtime, which caused many to be upset.
Many fans and people around the league are definitely going to be happy with the rule change. It’s undoubtedly going to make overtime games a lot more exciting in the postseason.
