On Tuesday, the Seattle Seahawks announced that they had cut rookie cornerback Kemah Siverand.
Now, the reason behind his release has been revealed, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
NFL teams are being ordered to not take part in any actions that could result in an outbreak of COVID-19.
The Seahawks’ decision to release Siverand shows that teams are taking these type of infractions very seriously and will discipline players when they break the rules.
Siverand joined the team in April after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. During his college career, he spent time at Texas A&M University before transferring to Oklahoma State University.
