Shannon Sharpe says he brushes his teeth 7-10 times per day, goes through entire tube of toothpaste every week

Former NFL star and “First Take” analyst Shannon Sharpe revealed that he brushes his teeth seven to 10 times per day and goes through an entire tube of toothpaste every week.

“I go through a tube of toothpaste a week,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe’s comments were met with shock by Chad Johnson – who hosts the show “Nightcap with Unc and Ocho” alongside Sharpe. Johnson, a former superstar receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, responded to Sharpe’s toothpaste usage saying, “Goddamn, Unc.”

“I brush my teeth on average about – somewhere between seven to 10 times a day,” Sharpe continued.

That’s a lot of brushing, and Sharpe broke down exactly when he ends up brushing his teeth. He revealed that he brushes them twice before leaving the house in the morning, once before he eats breakfast and once after.

From there, Sharpe heads to the studio for “First Take,” but he brushes his teeth once he gets there. Then, the former superstar tight end will brush his teeth after he arrives home and eats something.

He then shared that he takes a 30-minute nap which is followed by another teeth-brushing session.

Sharpe also brushes his teeth after he gets back from the gym and eats. Johnson wasn’t having it, cutting Sharpe off in his explanation of how many times he brushes.

“That’s enough goddamn brushing,” Johnson said.

The Hall of Famer also revealed that he changes his toothbrush every two weeks.

“I change my toothbrush every two weeks,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe is certainly dedicated to keeping his breath fresh and teeth clean, but he may be going a little over the top with this brushing regiment.

During his NFL career, Sharpe was one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. He finished his career with 815 receptions for 10,060 yards and 62 receiving scores.

He was an eight-time Pro Bowler and won three Super Bowls in his NFL career, playing for the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.

Now, Sharpe is making waves in the media as an outspoken personality. Before joining “First Take,” he was on Fox Sports’ “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless.

As long as Sharpe continues to succeed in his career, he might as well stick with the teeth-brushing tactics that have helped get him to this point.
