Report: Titans inform Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith they will not be back with team

The Tennessee Titans reportedly will not bring back wide receiver Corey Davis or tight end Jonnu Smith in free agency.

The Titans were eliminated by the Baltimore Ravens in the wild-card round of last year’s playoffs, and it seems they are going to shake up their roster this offseason.

Davis was Tennessee’s first-round pick (No. 5 overall) back in the 2017 NFL Draft.

He is coming off the best season of his career during the 2020 campaign, as he caught 65 passes for a career-high 984 yards and five touchdowns.

As for Smith, he set career-highs in catches (41), receiving yards (448) and touchdowns (eight) last season.

Smith was Tennessee’s third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Both players will likely have a solid market in free agency after their breakout campaigns.

Tennessee will move forward with running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver A.J. Brown as its two primary playmakers on offense.
