University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill head football coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson have made plenty of headlines thanks to their age gap. Belichick just turned 73 years old last month, while Hudson is almost 50 years younger than him at 24.
More recently, the couple has been getting attention for a completely different reason. Sports media personality Pablo Torre claimed that according to sources, Hudson was no longer allowed in the team’s building or on the field.
He also went on to say that there are people within Belichick’s family who are worried that his girlfriend could damage his legacy and reputation.
Sources tell @PabloTorre that Bill Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is now banned from UNC's football facility.
One Belichick family source adds: "There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill's legacy, reputation — everything… pic.twitter.com/59xQQtqyc0

However, the University of North Carolina has since issued a statement that contradicts Torre’s report. According to the statement, not only is Hudson not banned from the facilities, she’s welcome to attend.
“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,” the school claimed in the statement. “Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
Belichick is hoping that he can carry over his success coaching in the NFL to the collegiate level. He was the head coach of the New England Patriots for more than 20 years, and New England enjoyed a dynasty under his leadership.
While Belichick did have one of the better quarterbacks in the history of the sport on his roster for much of his Patriots stint in Tom Brady, he coached New England to six Super Bowls. He was also named NFL AP Coach of the Year on three separate occasions with the Patriots.
Belichick brings quite the coaching resume to UNC, but he might have his work cut out for him with the Tar Heels if how the team fared in the 2024 season is any indication. UNC won six games during the season, tied for the fewest in a single season from the program since it went 2-9 in the 2018 campaign.
It remains to be seen how Belichick’s success coaching in the NFL for so many years will carry over to the college level, but the school seemingly has faith that he can be a great college coach as well, as Belichick will be getting paid $10 million this year.
