Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving drew some praise from a very polarizing figure amid his decision not to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter and stated that Irving has “sacrificed more” than former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick ever did.
Irving’s decision not to get the shot is making waves across the NBA, and it’s apparently getting some outside attention too.
The Nets recently decided that Irving won’t partake in any games or practices until he’s able to be a full participant. Unless he gets vaccinated, it seems like there’s a chance he won’t play this season.
According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Brooklyn is “disgusted” with Irving over the matter.
It’s certainly an interesting situation, and it remains to be seen how it will progress from here. The Nets’ chances of winning an NBA title would certainly take a hit if Irving were to miss the whole year.
