Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant had a strong message for New York Knicks fans and the local media regarding his free agent decision last summer.
Durant explained that both fans and media “bothered” him all year prior to his decision to sign with the Nets.
He then responded to the backlash that he has received since speaking out about why he wanted to sign with the Nets.
Durant had recently went on J.J. Redick’s podcast to explain why he chose Brooklyn over the Knicks and Madison Square Garden.
The two-time NBA champion missed the entire 2019-20 NBA season as he was recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals.
Durant will have a new coach next season, as the Nets hired Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash.
Nash has already said he plans to play Durant at all five positions next season.
For his career, Durant averages 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
