Now that the Brooklyn Nets have landed superstar James Harden in a gargantuan trade, they may be looking to upgrade their bench.
After jettisoning Caris LeVert to make the trade happen, the Nets are reportedly interested in adding veteran guard Jamal Crawford.
Crawford was originally selected with the eighth overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over the years, he has been an offensive spark plug for several teams, either as a starter or by coming off the bench.
He played briefly for the Nets in the bubble last season as a substitute for Spencer Dinwiddie.
However, Crawford is now 40 years of age, and his skills have diminished a bit in the last few years.
Although the Nets may now have a legit superteam, their bench seems somewhat suspect. Dinwiddie suffered a career-ending injury, and they can use some proven depth in the backcourt.
