Report: Brooklyn Nets have no intention of buying out DeAndre Jordan

Although the Brooklyn Nets have added some notable big men in the last few weeks, they do not plan to part ways with center DeAndre Jordan.

“DeAndre Jordan appears to have been knocked out of the Nets’ rotation by a pair of big men plucked off the buyout market,” wrote Brian Lewis of the New York Post. “But sources have told The Post the Nets have no intention of adding the veteran center to that buyout market.”

Jordan, 32, has been in Brooklyn for the last two seasons.

The big man signed with the Nets along with point guard Kyrie Irving and superstar Kevin Durant during the summer of 2019.

On the season, the veteran is collecting just 7.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. He’s started in 36 games this year.

The Nets signed former All-Stars Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge in separate transactions earlier this year. As a result, Jordan’s spot in the rotation has been minimized.

The Nets hold a 36-16 record this season. They’re the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
