Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant reportedly will not join the Nets in Orlando, Fla. for the resumption of the NBA season.
Durant, 31, was not expected to return to action this season as he continues to recover from the torn Achilles that he suffered in last year’s NBA Finals.
The 10-time All-Star won’t be the only Net that will be staying home during the league’s restart.
Center DeAndre Jordan already announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be joining the team in Orlando.
In addition to Jordan, guard Spencer Dinwiddie tested positive as well and is reportedly on the fence about returning to the team this year.
Durant was one of the original players to test positive for the coronavirus after the season was suspended on March 11.
After signing with the Nets last offseason, Durant has yet to appear in a game for Brooklyn due to the Achilles injury.
The Nets currently hold the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.
