Steve Nash Says He Plans to Play Kevin Durant at All 5 Positions Next Season

Newly hired Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash plans to play superstar forward Kevin Durant at all five positions next season.

Nash, who admittedly said he got to “skip the line” in getting a head coaching job, clearly views Durant as a well-rounded player.

While Durant’s height certainly would allow him to play down low, he doesn’t have the most built figure to guard power forwards and centers in today’s NBA.

Regardless, Nash could be trying something different with his superstar to exploit mismatches on the other end of the floor.

Durant is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. Having a Hall of Fame point guard like Nash as his head coach should only help his offensive game.

In his career, Durant has averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. He is also an amazing shooter, as he shoots 49.3 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from 3-point range for his career.

The Nets will look to improve next season after being knocked out in the first round of the playoffs this year.
