Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is known to cause a bit of drama from time to time, and a recent post on social media seems to be doing just that.
Durant recently replied to a quote from his former skipper, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
In the reply, Durant seemed to laugh in the face of Kerr’s assertion that the star’s last season with the Warriors was “tough.”
Durant was lampooned when he decided to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and join the high-powered Warriors back in 2016. While he won two titles during his time in Golden State, the cracks in the relationship began to show during the 2018-19 season.
Then, in the NBA Finals of that season, Durant tore his Achilles tendon. That incident would end his time playing in Golden State. The following offseason, he joined the Brooklyn Nets.
Now with Brooklyn, it appears as though he has little time to worry about what issues Kerr was alluding to.
After all, Durant is likely much more concerned with winning his first title since leaving the Warriors. He’s returned to MVP form this season and is averaging 29.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. However, he has only played in 19 games this season.
The Nets are 29-14 so far this year.
