Report: Chicago Bulls front office is seriously concerned about Lonzo Ball’s knee

The Chicago Bulls were at one point during the 2021-22 NBA season seen as real contenders to go far in the playoffs.

Unfortunately for the Chicago faithful, the Bulls lost in the first round. Prior to Chicago’s elimination, the signs were there that the team had lost a lot of the momentum that it had enjoyed earlier in the season.

A big reason for that was the loss of point guard Lonzo Ball. Ball ended up only playing in 35 games during the regular season due to a knee injury. Based on a recent report on the matter, the team remains concerned about the player’s knee.

The injury was initially believed to be just a knee bruise back in January, but it was later revealed that he had torn his meniscus. He underwent surgery to address the issue.

While rehab was initially estimated to take around two months or less, things have unfortunately not gone as planned. The fact that Ball continues to deal with pain in his knee is heavily concerning.

While many players have been able to overcome knee injuries in recent years, there is always fear that things will not go according to plan. That appears to be the case for Ball right now, and it is possible that other measures will have to be taken if he does not start experiencing less pain soon.

It’s a really concerning set of circumstances for a player who was enjoying a solid season with the Bulls prior to the injury.
