Scottie Pippen names Michael Jordan as his ideal teammate: ‘I would play with only Michael Jordan’

Though the NBA is currently full of fantastic superstar duos, there is a real argument for saying the best duo of all time remains that of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on the Chicago Bulls during the team’s dominant era in the 1990s.

Of course, Jordan and Pippen won six titles together in the ’90s and forever changed the way that the world looks at basketball.

Though the two have had their ups and downs, both as teammates and more recently as retired legends, there seems to still be a lot of mutual respect.

In fact, in a recent discussion on KTLA, Pippen didn’t hesitate when asked if he’d play with Jordan again.

“Yes! I would play with only Michael Jordan,” Pippen said with a smile.

It is likely that the NBA will never see a duo that enjoys as much success as Pippen and Jordan did together. On the Bulls, the two achieved two separate three-peats. The first came from 1991 to 1993, and the second came from 1996 to 1998.

In his career, Pippen averaged 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. He is a seven-time All-Star and now sits in the Hall of Fame.

As for Jordan, he averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game in his career. He is a 14-time All-Star, 10-time scoring champ and five-time MVP. He, of course, also sits in the Hall of Fame.

Though the two have seen easier and harder times in their relationship, they no doubt share a bond that very few people understand. Though it is impossible to turn back time and see them play again, it’s comforting to know that Pippen seemingly would play with Jordan again.
