The Detroit Pistons’ experimentation with LiAngelo Ball is officially over.

The younger brother of the New Orleans Pelicans’ Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo Ball garnered some intrigue due to his lineage and his outspoken father LaVar.

LiAngelo Ball, like Lonzo Ball and his other brother LaMelo, played at Chino Hills High School, which is about an hour east of Los Angeles, Calif.

LiAngelo Ball then made the move to the University of California, Los Angeles, but after just one preseason game with the Bruins, he and two of his teammates were accused of shoplifting at a store in China. LiAngelo Ball was subsequently suspended by the Bruins.

After a couple of brief stints with some small-time pro basketball leagues, LiAngelo Ball finally scored a contract with the Pistons. However, he didn’t play in either of the team’s first two preseason games this month.
