The “All The Smoke” podcast, a popular show hosted by former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, recently landed a major guest appearance from Vice President Kamala Harris, who is running for president in the upcoming election.

But evidently, that doesn’t mean Barnes is opposed to interviewing fellow candidate Donald Trump, Harris’ opponent in this year’s election. Trump was the 45th U.S. president.

“We don’t have any no-no’s to be honest with you,” Barnes told Scoop B Radio.

He continued.

“I would DEFINITELY interview Donald Trump,” he said. “Just because I want to ask him some real questions. That’s it.”

The presidential election, set for Nov. 5, is quickly approaching. The race is headlined by Harris (the Democratic nominee) and Trump (the Republican nominee).

Harris’ appearance on the “All The Smoke” podcast gave way to some fascinating stories, and one has to imagine that Trump would also have a lot to say if he were to appear on the show as well.

The betting odds for the presidential election indicate that it’s going to be a very close race, though election results are often very hard to predict ahead of time. Harris, a late entry in the race after President Joe Biden dropped out, has significantly improved her chances after starting out as a major underdog and may have a slight edge according to some of the betting odds.

Trump is looking to return to office after previously being president but losing the 2020 election to Biden. Harris, for her part, is looking to become the first woman in U.S. history to be president.

When presidential candidates appear on podcasts or other shows, it can give folks a chance to get to know them on a different level. Both Harris and Trump have done so during this election cycle.

Whether Trump ends up appearing on the “All The Smoke” podcast or not, it’s certainly interesting for sports fans to consider the impact that Barnes and Jackson are having on the election as they use their platform in a major way.

Amid all the political happenings going on right now, Barnes and Jackson are likely also keeping their eye on the upcoming NBA season, which is set to begin later this month.
