NBA draft prospect LaMelo Ball shot down his father Lavar’s comments on whether or not he would be a good fit with the Golden State Warriors.
The elder Ball had previously stated that his son would be a poor fit with Golden State because it already has All-Star guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
The younger Ball is one of the more intriguing prospects in recent years. He turned pro at a very young age, playing professionally in Lithuania before returning to the United States to play his senior season of high school.
The younger Ball played for the Australian basketball team, the Illawarra Hawks, last season.
The Warriors hold the No. 2 pick in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft.
While center James Wiseman seems like an ideal fit for the Warriors’ roster, adding another playmaker like the younger Ball could also help their high-powered offense.
It seems like the elder Ball’s comments may hinder the younger one in finding a home in the upcoming draft.
