Indian Pacers star Victor Oladipo may compete in the resumption of the 2019-20 season after all.
During media availability on Wednesday, Oladipo said that there is a strong possibility he will play if his health remains in good shape.
Earlier this month, Oladipo, 28, announced that he would not participate in the NBA’s restart.
The 6-foot-4 guard returned from a ruptured quadriceps tendon injury in January. In 13 games this season, he’s averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
Clearly, the veteran still had a lot of rust to knock off upon returning from his injury.
When healthy, Oladipo is one of the best guards in the league. During the 2017-18 season, Oladipo put up 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.4 steals per game.
The Pacers are the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. If the Pacers get the two-time All-Star back at full strength, they will be a formidable playoff opponent.
The 2019-20 season resumes on July 30.
