Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal appears to be the victim of criminal arson, as a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts store that he owns was set on fire on Feb. 10.
Now, Atlanta police is offering a $10,000 reward to help identify the suspects in the case.
The historic doughnut shop was opened originally back in 1965, though O’Neal purchased the shop in 2016.
While O’Neal surely wants to get to the bottom of the case, he offered a positive response when he joined a radio show following the blaze.
“I hope no one was hurt and we will bounce back better than ever,” O’Neal told WXIA’s Francesca Amiker after the fire.
Hopefully, someone comes forward to offer meaningful information so that he or she can get that nice reward money and help make sure that the perpetrators of the crime are brought to justice.
As for O’Neal, chances are good he won’t even notice the momentary halt in that income stream.
