The Los Angeles Clippers will kick off their 2024-25 regular season when they host the Phoenix Suns at Intuit Dome — which opened its doors to the public for the first time recently — on Oct. 23, and fans of the team are seemingly surprised at how pricey the tickets are for that matchup.
The Intuit Dome — which has yet to be the setting for a regular-season Clippers game — reportedly cost $2 billion to build.
According to the Ticketmaster website as of Tuesday, seats in the 100-level for Los Angeles’ home opener range from $386.40 to $577.05. The website also indicates that the Clippers’ matchup against the Suns is already nearly sold out. It’s worth noting that the Intuit Dome supposedly has a whopping 18,000 seats in it.
Several fans took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to point out the exorbitant prices for tickets after the team’s 2024-25 regular-season schedule was revealed to the public.

Clippers fans who will decide to pay a pretty penny to see the team take on the Suns in a few months will be watching a squad without arguably its second-best player from last season.
Paul George — who was named an All-Star and averaged 22.6 points per game for Los Angeles during the 2023-24 regular season — signed a four-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the offseason. He spent five seasons playing alongside Kawhi Leonard on the Clippers and helped the squad reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history in 2021.
But while George marks a notable loss for the Clippers, the team has also made several noteworthy additions this offseason. Namely, Los Angeles inked Kevin Porter Jr. as well as Nicolas Batum — who played for the Clippers from the 2020-21 season until he was traded to the 76ers early on in the 2023-24 campaign — to contracts.
Only time will tell if the Oct. 23 game between the Clippers and Suns will live up to the hype and be worth the price tag.
