After Los Angeles Clippers swingman Paul George stated that he hopes to retire as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard delivered a brutal social media shot questioning George’s credibility.

Lillard essentially called George’s comment a lie, while cleverly dressing the “cap” with the notorious gangster Al Capone.

Such comments aren’t the first time that George has stated that he wanted to retire as a member of his current team. He relayed similar comments during his days with the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

While social media insults don’t last long, it will be interesting to see what takes place later this month, when George’s Clippers and Lillard’s Trail Blazers face each other.

Both George and Lillard are competitive players regardless of the atmosphere, but this next meeting should be interesting to watch.
