The Los Angeles Clippers reportedly are parting ways with head coach Doc Rivers.

The decision to move on from Rivers comes after the Clippers blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

The Clippers were expected to be title contenders with the additions of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard this offseason, but they were unable to even make it to the conference finals.

Rivers has been the head coach of the Clippers for the past seven seasons.

The 58-year-old made six playoff appearances with the team, but the Clippers never made it to the Western Conference Finals under Rivers.

He currently has a career regular season record of 943-681 in 21 seasons as an NBA head coach.
