Jonathan Isaac livid after Mark Zuckerberg admits he was ‘pressured’ by Biden administration to censor content during pandemic

Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac voiced his anger regarding the news that the CEO of Meta Platforms — Mark Zuckerberg — worked with the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration to censor content.

“Man it’s so hard to be civil and Christlike 😭 I read the letter again and had to tweet again lol im livid,” the post from Isaac reads. “They gone make movies about how they gaslit us. These people craft everything we see and hear. I still respect this letter coming out but it’s the tip of an iceberg the size of Jupiter. If they had twitter literally manipulating the masses who didn’t they have? And I’m supposed to let these same people tell me what’s best for my family and America? No!! Lol all of that to say, I’m far from perfect but that’s why I need God. These people need God! WE need God!! We are drunk on power and money and every end justifies the means. It’s just wrong.”

Zuckerberg recently penned a letter, and in it, he indicated that the Biden administration “pressured” the folks at Meta to censor certain content related to COVID-19 back in the year 2021. Humor and satire content related to the virus are examples of what the administration allegedly wanted to keep under wraps.

If people can recall, during the height of the pandemic, Facebook added a feature that warned users about misinformation if a post seemingly contained false information about COVID-19. The social media company also deleted posts suggesting the virus was created in a Chinese lab and those criticizing vaccines.

In addition, during his 2020 presidential election campaign, Biden accused social media platforms of “killing people” due to misinformation.

Isaac has questioned the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine in the past. He claimed in the year 2022 that the vaccine was “not going to stop” him from catching the virus.

While it has been years since the COVID-19 pandemic has been in full force, the virus still hasn’t disappeared by any means. Just a few days back, a video detailing how there has been a surge in recent COVID-19 infections in the state of California was uploaded to YouTube.

Isaac served as a valuable two-way presence for the Magic in the 2023-24 regular season after he was plagued by the injury bug earlier on in his NBA career. He missed the entirety of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons due to issues pertaining to his ACL.

But he played in 58 games (the second-most in a single season of his NBA career) last season and averaged 6.8 points on 51.0 percent shooting from the floor and 37.5 percent from 3-point range to go along with 4.5 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.2 blocks per contest.

Isaac helped the Magic reach the 2024 NBA Playoffs, and the team also nearly came away with a playoff series victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Orlando lost the series in seven games, and the home team came out on top in every contest during the best-of-seven series.

The 26-year-old will hope that his fortunate injury luck last season — at least compared to previous years of his career — carries over into the 2024-25 season.
