Things got heated between Philadelphia 76ers big man Dwight Howard and Miami Heat veteran Udonis Haslem on Thursday night.

Both players were assessed technicals at the time and Haslem was ejected from the game.

On Friday, it was reported that Howard will miss one game due to suspension after receiving his 16th technical of the 2020-21 season.

Howard will miss Friday’s game against the Orlando Magic. The 76ers have a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win.

In his first season with the Sixers, Howard is averaging 7.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Of course, he also brings championship pedigree after having won a title with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.

Though Howard will surely hate to miss Friday’s game, the 35-year-old veteran probably won’t hate getting a little extra rest before the onset of the postseason.
