Report: NBA announces vaccination requirements for personnel interacting with players

According to a report, the NBA is instituting strict COVID-19 vaccination requirements for all personnel having in-person interactions with players and referees.

The move makes a lot of sense, as the league clearly wants to limit the number of unvaccinated people that players and referees are exposed to. For the most part, the NBA has been one of the most successful American sports leagues at dealing with the pandemic.

Many organizations are requiring vaccinations for employees, and some teams are only allowing vaccinated fans to attend games. COVID-19 cases are rising in many states, so extra precautions are being put into place.

The 2021-22 NBA season is rapidly approaching, and it figures to feel like a relatively normal season in comparison to each of the past two campaigns.

The hope is that the season won’t be interrupted or impacted by virus issues.
