Big man Zach Collins is reportedly receiving interest from several teams, including the New Orleans Pelicans, Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
“Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Toronto and New Orleans are known to be interested in unrestricted free-agent center Zach Collins, sources said,” wrote Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
Collins has never been a major factor at the NBA level, but he could be a nice addition for a team looking to bolster its second unit.
Collins missed much of the 2020-21 season due to a foot injury. For his three-year NBA career, he averages 5.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while hitting 44.4 percent of his shots from the field and 32.4 percent of his shots from deep.
Collins is just 23 years old, so there is some room for growth. Wherever he lands, he will likely be attainable at a good value.
If he wants to join a team with title hopes, his options could be limited based on the list of teams that are reportedly showing interest.
Collins spent his college years at Gonzaga University. He was selected in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers.
