Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown shared a troubling screenshot of an apparent death threat that he received on social media.
According to the seven-time Pro Bowler, this isn’t the only threat he’s received.

It appears that Brown also took a shot at supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, as the user that sent him the threat had reposted something supporting Harris.
Regardless of anyone’s political party or views, there should be no tolerance for sending a death threat to anyone via social media.
Brown, who last played in the NFL during the 2021 season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has been very active on social media, posting things on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the hashtag “CTESPN.”
After an amazing run with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he established himself as one of the best receivers in the NFL, Brown saw his career take a nosedive after he went to the Oakland Raiders, known today as the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brown never ended up playing a game for the Raiders, getting released after one tumultuous offseason with them. He then appeared in one game for the New England Patriots before getting cut again.
After that, Brown teamed up with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, winning a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in the 2020 campaign.
During his time in Pittsburgh, Brown had six consecutive seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, and he led the NFL in receiving yards in the 2014 and 2017 campaigns. He also led the league in receptions twice (in the 2014 and 2015 seasons) and receiving touchdowns once (in the 2018 season).
However, after he left Pittsburgh, Brown totaled just 91 catches for the rest of his career, never reaching the 600-yard mark again. In the 2021 season – Brown’s last in the NFL – he had 42 catches for 545 yards and four touchdowns in seven games.
Unfortunately, Brown ended up leaving the Bucs before that season was over, infamously taking his jersey off before running off the field in a game against the New York Jets. He has not played in the NFL since.

Hopefully, users on social media will stop making threats and negative comments toward Brown now that he’s called one user out publicly.
