Former Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant seemingly didn’t approve of the atmosphere during Kamala Harris’ political rally in Atlanta, which featured Megan Thee Stallion rapping loudly and dancing.
Harris is expected to be the lone Democratic presidential candidate who has qualified to run for the Democratic presidential nomination in light of Joe Biden — who will turn 82 years old in November — withdrawing his name from the race.
Bryant has weighed in on political news in the past, as he had an unfiltered reaction to a debate between Biden and Donald Trump back in late June.
The 35-year-old played for two teams in the Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens during his time in the pros, though he is best remembered for his stint with the former.
Bryant was consistently in the conversation for being one of best wide receivers in the NFL during his time playing for the Cowboys. After all, he totaled 800 or more receiving yards in five of his seasons in Dallas and racked up 1,000-plus receiving yards in three seasons.
Arguably his most productive season in the NFL came during the 2012 campaign, when he played in 16 games (14 starts) for the Cowboys during the regular season and accumulated a career-high 1,382 receiving yards to go along with 12 receiving touchdowns and 54 first downs receiving on 92 receptions. Interestingly, Bryant didn’t earn so much as a Pro Bowl nod for the numbers that he put up as a receiver that season.
Bryant saw his time in the NFL get shortened due to injury woes. He missed the entirety of the 2018 season due to an Achilles injury and wasn’t the same player he was earlier in his career by the time he got an opportunity to play in the league again.
His swan song in the NFL came with the Ravens in the 2020 season, and across six regular-season contests, he ended up with only 47 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns and three first downs receiving. Bryant also appeared in a pair of playoff games with the Ravens in his last NFL season.
