Report: Jerry Jeudy set to make return for Denver Broncos vs. Washington Football Team

The Denver Broncos will have wide receiver Jerry Jeudy back from injured reserve when they take the field against the Washington Football Team on Sunday.

There had been concern that Jeudy would not be able to play for the first time since the Broncos’ opener after he missed the team’s Friday practice.

Jeudy injured his ankle against the New York Giants on Sept. 12, a blow that hurt the Broncos’ offense. Prior to the injury, Jeudy had caught six passes in the game.

The 22-year-old Jeudy was the Broncos’ top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama and was taken with the 15th overall selection.

During his rookie campaign, Jeudy gave a hint of what he could provide Denver’s passing game, finishing with 52 catches for 856 yards and three touchdowns.

One of those scores served as his signature moment for the 2020 season, as he was on the receiving end of a 92-yard pass from Drew Lock in the final game of the year.

In three of the Broncos’ games last year, Jeudy managed to catch at least 10 passes, with his 15 catches against the Los Angeles Chargers in December 2020 topping the list.

The Broncos enter their game on Sunday with a 3-4 record and are in danger of falling out of contention with another loss.

The most recent defeat for the Broncos came in a Thursday night contest against the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 21. The 17-14 final marked the third time in the last four games that the Broncos have been held under 20 points.
