On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they signed quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to a new contract.
Roethlisberger, 39, will continue his magical tenure with the Steelers. He’s played in Pittsburgh his whole career.
At one point, it appeared that Roethlisherger’s relationship with the Steelers could be coming to a close. After all, general manager Kevin Colbert’s noncommittal comments recently sent somewhat negative signals.
Last season, the Steelers collected a strong 12-4 record. The Steelers got eliminated in the first round of the postseason by the Cleveland Browns.
As for Roethlisherger, he had a resurgent 2020 campaign after missing the majority of the 2019 season with a shoulder injury.
He threw for an impressive 3,803 yards, 33 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season.
