The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly in agreement with safety Jamal Adams on a major contract extension.
The #Seahawks have agreed to terms on a large extension for star S Jamal Adams, a 4-year, $70M deal that makes him the league’s highest paid safety, I’m told. He gets $38M guaranteed, breaking the stalemate. A long time coming and well-deserved. 💰💰💰

Adams is one of the best safeties in football, and he’s finally going to get paid as such. The Seahawks seemingly see him as a crucial part of their organization and want to keep him around.
Adams was underwhelming in his first season with Seattle, but his track record suggests that he is worthy of a major payday. He has been named to three Pro Bowls so far in his career. For his four-year career, he has 28 passes defended, two interceptions and 21.5 sacks.
The Seahawks paid a high price for him when they acquired him via trade, so retaining him makes good sense.
The 25-year-old will now find himself in Seattle for the foreseeable future, and he’ll hope to win the first ring of his career in the process. The Seahawks certainly have the talent necessary to make a Super Bowl run.
