The Atlanta Falcons will trade veteran wide receiver Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for at least a future second-round draft pick.
Jones had reportedly been on the trading block for the past few weeks because of the Falcons’ salary cap issues as well as the fact that he’s coming off an injury-plagued 2020 season.
Over the course of his stellar career with the Falcons, Jones has established himself as one of the league’s top receivers. However, the aforementioned concerns, as well as the fact that he’s now 32 years old, made his future with the team tenuous.
In addition, the Falcons are in the midst of rebuilding after a disastrous 4-12 season and have a new head coach and general manager in place.
