Chicago Sky big Angel Reese cleared the air regarding the rumors that she is dating Phoenix Suns star forward Kevin Durant.

The rumors seem to stem from when Reese and Durant sat next to each other courtside and watched Team USA’s women’s basketball team defeat Germany in an exhibition matchup back in July.

Reese wasn’t one of 12 women selected to represent the United States in the 2024 Paris Olympics, but Durant was a member of the men’s team, and he provided Team USA with a consistent scoring punch.

Across six games in Paris alongside the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Devin Booker and Anthony Davis, Durant averaged 13.8 points while shooting 54.0 percent from the floor and 51.9 percent from deep along with 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steal per game.

The 35-year-old also saved one of his best scoring performances of the Paris Olympics for the gold medal game against France. With first-place honors on the line, Durant dropped 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field, 3-of-9 from 3-point range and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe in Team USA’s 11-point victory.

While Durant is fresh off a stint in the Olympics, the 2024 WNBA regular season is still going strong for Reese and the Sky. Reese is continuing to rack up points and rebounds for Chicago, as she has finished with a double-double in every one of her last three games.

But the Sky are in a rut from a collective standpoint. The team is riding a seven-game losing streak — the longest active losing streak in the WNBA by a wide margin — and hasn’t picked up a victory since it beat the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 17.

However, the Sky seemingly will have a solid chance to snap their losing streak in their next game on Friday night against the Sparks. Los Angeles has the worst record of any team in the league at the moment at 7-26 and has won only one of its last 10 contests.
