Back in 2016, Kanye West released his album “The Life of Pablo.” The song “Facts (Charlie Heat Version)” from the album had a line that read, “Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman.”
The “Jumpman” in that line is referring to NBA legend Michael Jordan, and West seemed to be implying that his shoes are better than Jordan’s.
West recently revealed that Jordan still has not met with him since he released the album.
“Jordan still won’t meet with me,” said West. “I’m trying to meet with Michael Jordan. I’m like, ‘Man, it’s a song, man.'”
It seems like West has been trying to meet with Jordan for some time since the album released a couple of years ago, but it looks Jordan has no interest in meeting with the 44-year-old.
It’s very possible that the six-time NBA champion took offense to the line and has no interest in speaking or meeting with West.
Jordan’s documentary “The Last Dance” revealed that he tends to hold grudges against many people, so he could easily be holding one against West. It will be interesting to see if the two end up meeting sometime in the future.
The former Chicago Bulls star had an illustrious NBA career in which he earned 14 All-Star selections, 10 scoring titles and five MVP awards among many other accomplishments. The Hall of Famer is considered by many to be the best player to ever play the game of basketball.
Jordan retired from the league with averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
