Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen was recently interviewed by “Good Morning America,” and he offered some very interesting insight into his playing career.

Near the end of the interview, Pippen gave a very honest answer regarding how he wants to be remembered.

“As the greatest of all time,” Pippen said when asked how he wants to be remembered.

Pippen’s former teammate Michael Jordan is thought by many folks to be the greatest player in basketball history.

Pippen has been very outspoken of late about his feelings toward Jordan, and he even stated recently that he was “as great” of a player as Jordan was. It certainly seems like Pippen believes he doesn’t get the respect he deserves.

Jordan finished his playing career with a long list of accolades. He racked up 14 All-Star selections, 10 scoring titles, five MVP awards and six NBA titles.

He retired with averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest. He was a career 49.7 percent shooter from the field and 32.7 percent shooter from deep.

Pippen, meanwhile, also accomplished a lot before deciding to retire. He earned seven All-Star selections and six NBA titles. The superstar averaged 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game throughout his long and impressive career.

He and Jordan won all of their championships as teammates.

Both players, of course, are in the Hall of Fame today. There’s no doubt that Jordan and Pippen are NBA legends, but some fans might have a hard time agreeing with Pippen’s assessment of where he stands amongst the league’s all-time greats.
