Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins has been quite outspoken when it comes to his criticism of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Now, Clippers forward Marcus Morris is returning the favor.

It began when Perkins took to “First Take” to criticize the Clippers’ decision to sign Paul George to a massive contract extension.

He then called the entire team “soft as hot Twinkies.”

It wasn’t too long before Morris hopped on Twitter and told Perkins to “keep that same energy” once the season begins.

The Clippers entered the 2019-20 campaign as strong favorites to win the title. They finished their season in embarrassment after giving up a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs.

Now, Morris and the rest of the Clippers roster will look to prove the doubters wrong and get their title this season.

Morris seems quite confident they’ll do just that. However, the Clippers have formed a reputation of talking a big game and then failing to back it up.
