The Timberwolves big man clearly has been enjoying his time away from the NBA season after Minnesota was not included in the league’s 22-team restart at the end of July.
However, Towns and the Timberwolves will have a new look next season, as they will have a full year with guard D’Angelo Russell as well as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The University of Kentucky product has been one of the best big men in the NBA in his young career, but it has not translated to playoff success.
However, as Minnesota begins to rebuild its core around Towns, one can hope that a playoff run is on the horizon.
For his career, Towns averages 22.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
