On Friday, the NBA announced the total count for players that have tested positive for the novel coronavirus from recent screenings.
Of 302 players tested for the virus on Tuesday, 16 players tested positive.
Some of the players who contracted the virus include Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic and Sacramento Kings sharpshooter Buddy Hield.
The NBA also announced that any player who tested positive will remain in self-isolation.
Back in March, the league abruptly suspended the 2019-20 season after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus.
Now, despite the recent batch of players who contracted the virus, the NBA is proceeding with the 2019-20 season.
