The trade of Rose to the Knicks has been rumored about in recent weeks, with the deal set to reunite Rose with his former head coach Tom Thibodeau.
Thibodeau coached Rose with both the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves and has closely followed the guard’s struggle to come back from a series of serious injuries.
The 32-year-old Rose may not be producing the same numbers that he was when he was at his peak, but Thibodeau no doubt feels that he can help the Knicks toward a possible playoff run.
In 15 games this season, Rose has averaged 14.2 points, 4.2 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
