Philadelphia 76ers veteran Danny Green recently raved about teammate Ben Simmons.

“Ben, another unicorn,” Green said regarding Simmons. “You never see a point guard at 6-foot-10 that can move like that, handle the ball. Also, with his vision.”

Simmons is a very interesting player in the NBA. In four seasons in the league, he has averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game.

However, it is not yet known if he has already played his last game in a Sixers uniform. In September of 2021, Simmons reportedly made it clear that he intends to “never play another game for the franchise.”

Up until now, though, the Philadelphia front office has not found a deal that it deems fair involving the 25-year-old.

On the bright side, the Sixers have had a solid 2021-22 season so far even without Simmons. They are 22-16 and rank fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Star big man Joel Embiid is once again leading the way for the team. He is posting averages of 26.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game this season. Tobias Harris has also been a solid contributor, averaging 18.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest.

The team has also received plenty of help in the backcourt with Simmons out. Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry are each scoring at least 16.3 points per game, while Shake Milton is contributing 10.5 points per match.

But if the Sixers want to make it far in the postseason, they will likely need more help.
