Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has become “so disgruntled” with the organization that he does not want to return to the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The reigning league MVP, Rodgers threw for 4,299 yards, 48 touchdowns and just five interceptions last season.
He led the Packers to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but the team lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game.
The Packers selected a quarterback, Jordan Love, in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
It likely added to Rodgers’ frustration, as it made it seem like the team was ready to move on from him.
Rodgers, a three-time MVP, proved that he is still one of the best players in the game last season, and it seems he wants a fresh start.
While he is under contract, Rodgers could certainly request a trade to give the Packers a chance to recoup some draft capital during the 2021 NFL Draft.
