Though there have been several rumors involving Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell lately, the two teams seemingly most frequently discussed as possible landing spots for him have been the Miami Heat and New York Knicks.

However, it’s clear that the interest in Mitchell doesn’t stop there. The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly also interested in the 25-year-old.

“Earlier in the free agency period, several teams monitoring the Mitchell situation saw the Heat as the favorite to land him via trade,” wrote Ian Begley of SportsNet New York.

“But Brooklyn has interest in landing Mitchell as well.”

Of course, the Nets have been at the center of numerous rumors this offseason, as both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant seem like players that could soon be on the move.

As for Mitchell, his future in Utah is pretty murky. The team recently traded star big man Rudy Gobert for a number of players and several draft picks. Many fans took that move as a sign of an impending rebuild. It would be odd for an established star of Mitchell’s quality to remain on a rebuilding squad.

Though there have been countless rumors related to star movement so far this offseason, few trades have actually taken place. Only time will tell if the rumor linking the Nets to Mitchell turns into a legitimate deal.

If it does, the deal could easily include not one but multiple stars switching teams. That would surely quench the thirst that many NBA fans have for drama during every offseason.
