The Milwaukee Bucks are making a serious push to convince two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to re-sign with the team that drafted him.

However, that’s not stopping teams around the league from trying to pry Antetokounmpo out of Milwaukee’s grasp.

While there has been a fairly consistent list of teams that hope to be major players in the sweepstakes if he decides to become a free agent next offseason, a new team has apparently emerged as a possible suitor.

“Golden State, Miami, Dallas and Toronto have been prominently mentioned as potential landing spots for Giannis Antetokounmpo, if he decides to move on from Milwaukee. I heard another one on Tuesday: Boston,” it was reported on Woelfel’s Press Box.

The Boston Celtics have been contenders in the Eastern Conference and have advanced to the conference finals several times over the years.

However, they have not managed to advance to the NBA Finals in recent years.

Surely, the hope is that Antetokounmpo would be able to push them over the hump.

If the Celtics were able to sign him, they would be pairing him with All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker.

Undoubtedly, that trio would be highly dangerous and could turn the Celtics into instant title favorites.
