The Dallas Mavericks received troubling news on Friday, as it was reported that big man Kristaps Porzingis would be missing the rest of the playoffs due to a meniscus tear in his right knee.

Porzingis had missed both Game 3 and 4 against the Los Angeles Clippers in his team’s opening playoff series.

This is a huge blow to a Mavs team that was looking to advance to the second round as it finds itself in a 3-2 hole against the Clippers.

The 7-foot-3 forward was averaging 23.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in the series.

It will now be all up to superstar Luka Doncic to bear the burden of the team, as he’s been averaging 29.6 points, 10.0 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game in the opening round.
