The Los Angeles Clippers have been dealing with quite a few absences from their roster inside the NBA’s bubble in Orlando, Fla.
Now, they’re dealing with a another one.
In Tuesday’s game versus the Phoenix Suns, veteran point guard Patrick Beverley suffered an injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
While he is not one of the most productive players on the Clippers roster, he is certainly one of the most outspoken.
Throughout this season, Beverley has served as a vocal leader for a team with championship aspirations.
So far this season, Beverley is averaging 8.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
His departure comes in the very same game that fellow guard Lou Williams finally made his return to the court after undergoing a 10-day quarantine after leaving the NBA bubble.
The Clippers are also without big man Montrezl Harrell, who left the bubble last month to tend to an emergency family matter. He has yet to return.
While the Clippers were thought of as one of the deepest title contenders in the NBA throughout the season, their rotation is looking quite thin these days.
