The Ben Simmons saga continues for the Philadelphia 76ers.

They were in Louisiana to start their season against the New Orleans Pelicans, and the partisan crowd started a chant that threw shade at the 6-foot-11 star guard.

Simmons requested a trade during the offseason and reportedly cut off all communication between himself and the team. It was also reported that he didn’t intend to report to training camp.

Just days ago, he rejoined the Sixers, but his communication with his colleagues is still greatly strained. He was thrown out of practice by head coach Doc Rivers and was suspended for tonight’s game.

There is no doubt that Simmons is a very good player. His ability to hit the open man, push the pace, rebound and defend are definite assets.

However, his inability and unwillingness to take any shots outside of the paint has proven to be a big liability, especially come playoff time.
