Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker reportedly wants to leave his current team.

According to Ryen Russillo on the “Bill Simmons Podcast,” it is the “worst kept secret” in the NBA that Booker wants out of Phoenix.

While Booker nearly put Phoenix on his back and carried it to the NBA playoffs this past season, it appears that the star wants to move on.

Booker, 24, was named to his first All-Star team this past season. He averaged 26.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.

While the market for Booker would certainly be robust, it is hard to imagine that Phoenix would be in a rush to trade its young star.

After all, Booker signed a five-year, $158 million contract extension in 2018. The first season of the deal began during the 2019-20 campaign, meaning that Phoenix has control over Booker for the foreseeable future.

Booker has steadily improved in his career, averaging over 22.0 points per game in every season but his rookie campaign.

Last season, he shot a career high from the field and matched his career high in points per game.
