The NBA has suspended the Clippers' Patrick Beverley for one game next season without pay "for forcefully pushing Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul from behind and knocking him to the court during a stoppage in play."

Beverley’s frustration over watching his season coming to an end was undoubtedly the basis for the push of Paul, who was sent sprawling to the ground.
Just prior to the push, the two players passed each other while headed to their respective benches. That push resulted in Beverley’s ejection from the game.

Beverley later offered his apology to Paul for his actions.

Paul and the Suns are more focused on their upcoming appearance in the NBA Finals, which will mark the first time for Paul.
