Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will reportedly be the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

Hopkins reportedly negotiated a two-year contract extension with Arizona. The deal is worth up to $54.5 million and includes $42.75 million guaranteed.

During the offseason, Hopkins, 28, was traded from the Houston Texans to Arizona along with a fourth-round pick in exchange for running back David Johnson, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick 2021.

Hopkins has been one of the best receivers in the NFL since entering the league.

Last season he caught 104 passes for 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.

In his career, Hopkins has totaled 8,602 receiving yards and 54 receiving touchdowns.
